The African Union is currently constituted by developing nations and can not boast of major developed members. This clearly postulate the need for Africa to rise in unity and be the developmental backbone of each member state. Differences must be set aside so that dreams of greats like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah can be realised. The African must conduct his own affairs, non-dependable on foreign aide which always comes with stipulated demands to implement, beneficial or not. Africa has probably more natural resources than what any continent can boast of in terms of value and demand yet most of these industries are controlled by foreign powers who have controllable stakes in most of our African economy.
I, Frederick Yarquah want to align with some of the critical and wide thinkers in Africa and those who put humanity above all others. Education I believe is only the stem, our humanity are the roots and our purpose, contributions and mark, the branches and leaves. When we stop to care, we loose our humanity because the roots die.
Being an African Union Youth Volunteer is to think and care beyond yourself, your society or your country.
