5 Or do you suppose that the Scripture is speaking to no purpose that says, The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love?
6 But He gives us more and more grace ([a]power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).
7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.
8 Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery].
I AM WRITING THIS FROM A PLACE OF PEACE AFTER A PASSING STORM. The Holy Spirit joins with our spirit in an intimate enviable partnership where He becomes our help, keeper, comfort, and a shield of protection. The Holy Spirit establishes Himself in us in a much better relationship than it was in the Garden of Eden. He brings Heaven straight into us in a continuously unending period of Love, and Truth in which; we are privilege to access His gifting, and walk in His power, and fruitfulness whilst we produce His fruits of true identity as children of our Almighty Father. He is Himself; well known as the one true God, and in His Love, yearns for a deeper relationship with us. It is therefore important that we truly live in Spirit, and in Truth. For a life lived in the Spirit is the only way we can truly love, and be free from hurt, pain, and offense. This offers us the avenue to become forgiven, and obey His commands of forgiveness, and Love.
A relationship with the world is a relation with our emotion, our fear, and our weakness. It creates steps of failure which are of; Fear and conflict, guilt and despair, condemnation and death. This relationship becomes an impairment on our rise as light, and beauty out from the ashes, and darkness. The world is dark, and it took His Word to bring light thus, it takes His Word (Christ), the meditation of the Word; which brings the revelation of His light to keep the light on in our lives. Yet, every light needs a source of power, hence, the Holy Spirit who joins with our spirit in such an intimate communion does not only empower us, but helps us know Christ more, to be with wisdom, understanding, counseling, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord; deep reverential obedience to His Majesty.
He gives us more Grace; it’s in abundance. God has given us great gifts; the gift of promise, the gift of covenant, the gift of Love, and the gift of Grace. It is important that we utilize these to help us to understand His ways. He has given us more than a second chance for which we have constantly abused yet, more Grace. In our weakness, His love is made perfect in our lives, and circumstance. Do not think life is yours to disobey, and dishonor He who created the Heaven, and the Earth, Master of the Universe, and He who has power to destroy the Flesh, and the Spirit. He will resist us. If His love is so strong, and outshines all darkness then our pride will be too dark, and will have no place with Him; for darkness cannot co-exist with Light. Darkness flees, and in this situation, we will flee into the death traps of the enemy. He favors those who surrender it all to Him, and set it all at His feet. For in doing so, they acknowledge Him as Lord over their lives. He truly provides, and makes things right, and rich for them. A father will not feed his son stones when they ask for bread neither snake when he asks for fish, why then will God give us anything less than He has promised when we let Him be our Father, and provider.
Resist the devil, and he will flee because, the Light of God in us is the light of Life in us. We are a light to the world for Christ is Lord over our lives. We outshine, and overcome all darkness. It is not in our nature as children of the Most High to reside in darkness, nor to be friends with it, but strangers. We do not co-exist, hence, when we stand firm against the devil through our obedience to God, he remains as irrelevant as darkness is to light, and can’t co-exist in the same space. Our new life is hidden in Christ therefore, when we stand in our identity as a child of God presented by Christ; Holy, Blameless, and above reproach before our Father in obedience, the accuser of the brethren has no option than to flee with his false accusations, and let us be. The devil recognizes the inability to affect our lives with accusations, and claim a verdict against us in the courts of Heaven. We stand redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, sanctified, and justified by the power of the Holy Spirit. He adopts us as His own through the Holy Spirit so we can take on His perfect nature.
If He is the consuming fire, then we are a strong blazing fire against the acts of wickedness directed at us. His angels recognize our identity as sons, and daughters so are constantly moved to our defense, and attack. These angels carry the anointing of God, and in their visitation to us; break the yoke upon our lives with this great anointing they carry as they come into contact with us. This fuels the spirit in us with more room to move in our identity, liberty, and purpose; according to the Will of the Father. The Holy Spirit in us is, God at work or in action in us. He is the Spirit of Life Who raised Jesus from the dead so He is God. This makes us attract the Kingdom of Light, and all it goodness but, repel the kingdom of darkness.
We should not commit adultery against our first love by conforming to the pleasures of this world, and the pleasures of this flesh. He gave us all the goodness of life through His promise, covenant, Love and Grace. He is faithful even in our unfaithfulness, and even in our sin, He loved us. We should not grieve the Spirit of God. He is our partner for life, and our Spiritual Registrar to becoming sons and daughters of the Father. Let turn our back on the world, and humble ourselves in love with our Father who is the source of Hope, and the one who establishes, and commissions us for greatness. He gives us Peace, Joy, and Goodness. It follows as all the days of our lives, and in His mercy, He protects us, and provides even when we are blind, and lost. His amazing Grace is sweet, and gives us an opportunity not to sin and get away with it, but to know Him, know Him more, and enjoy in His fullness of Love. God bless you, and speak to you more on this Word, Amen.
